I have never posted anything online before ever but feel very strongly about this subject due to the fact in a black and white answer, this is much better for you than narcotics but lets regulate this too so that the people like me have to suffer because of the few people that lack self control and have to impead on everyones elses life instead of focusing on their own. Don't mean to sound hard lined but thats how mom and dad raised me and my family is thankful for a man that doesn't use excuses or cut and run at the first sign of responsibility. But the more I look around the more I see people that have to have excuses why there lives are messed up instead of looking in the mirror. I still live under the your out of the house at 18 rule and responsible for your own life and family. Not sure why this topic needs to be discussed, the only thing that it will do is bring regulation. One table spoon in the AM and one at noon. Kratom is all natural I have used it for years, sure beats being on opiates for chronic pain. The show can be seen though Amazon Prime, though only the 3rd season is free for Prime Members. I think it would be interesting to kratom consumers, not simply because he is positive toward it, but because it explores part of the worldwide supply chain and traditional use that many consumers might not be aware of. Morris is positive about the plant-and suggests that it (and other plant medicines) should be legal that, to paraphrase, a fighting a war against a vegetable is stupid. Seeing traditional use (at the time of filming, illegal in Thailand) was also interesting. The researchers were positive about it, and some of the commentators discussed issues in the Thai media/Law Enforcement establishment that is very similar to what is/has happened in the US with Kratom and other substances in the past. To me, what was really interesting was seeing animal studies being done on kratom, where the substance was injected into rodents with probes on various brain regions to chart electrical activity and cameras to monitor animal movement (and compared to morphine). Thailand has reversed course and since the original airing of the episode (2017-Dec-12) and has legalized use and commercial growth is going to restart in a few days. It is a bit dated at this point, but in a good way. In the episode he visited a kratom bar, showed a distribution operation, discussed the 2016 ban, and went to Thailand to see the remaining trees in the country. The second season, episode 3 dealt with Kratom. Each episode deals with a different substance, historical event, or issue relating to drug use and drug policy (and of particular interest to me, differences in worldwide perspectives and the reasons some substances are popular in one location and not others.) One of his projects is his television program though Viceland called Hamilton's Pharmacopeia. Hamilton Morris is a chemist/researcher and journalist covering psychedelic substances and their influence on society. Synopsis: 'Hamilton investigates the pharmacology and traditional uses of Kratom, a Thai tree with opioid-containing leaves.
