These are but some of the nasty sights you will see, and each one will stick with you long after you switch your console off. The worrying thing is, you don’t know who fears you, and who you should fear.īandaged zombies, a blindfolded woman in a wheelchair, and a body with a brass horn for a head await you in the depths of Lloyd’s mind. Mutated people scamper around each chapter, and some will interact with you, others won’t. No, it plays with tension, pace, and sound to make you feel uneasy at all times. It doesn’t use traditional horror tactics of blood and gore. It’s rare that a game makes me shudder with discomfort, but DARQ: Complete Edition successfully brought me out in a cold sweat.
